Building on decades of delivering hospitality, culinary, tourism and business education, Berjaya University College (BERJAYA UC) opened its doors to our inaugural intake of students in 2009 and in 2019, we celebrate this 10-year milestone.

We are proud to look back over a decade of making a difference to individuals, enterprises and communities. Today, the university college has four faculties – Faculty of Culinary Arts, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism, Berjaya Business School and Faculty of Liberal Arts.

BERJAYA UC encompasses the hardware of complete infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities and the software of educational competence, industry expertise and knowledge, exciting programmes using the teaching and learning in research methodology and an advanced management system.


BERJAYA UC’s city campus is strategically located in the tourist hub in the heart of the golden triangle. Situated in Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur, on the 11th and 14th floors, BERJAYA UC occupies a total space of approximately 100,000 square feet.


Our teaching paradigm called the BERJAYA Immersion Methodology is based on the ‘Learning by Doing’ principle. BERJAYA UC’s programmes comprise some innovative academic and industry-based curricula, providing students with key skills, hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge to prepare them for careers in this new era.

At BERJAYA UC, we believe that individuals who are well-rounded and also exposed to areas outside of their main field of studies gain personal poise and confidence naturally, and therefore, we encourage our students to take inter-disciplinary electives as well as engage in the many short courses that we also provide in the areas of language, lifestyle, etiquette, and the humanities.


Since its inception, BERJAYA UC has grown to become one of Malaysia’s leading hospitality and culinary institution as well as winning local and international accolades in the fields of culinary arts, hospitality, tourism and events.

BERJAYA UC is the only local Malaysian institution of higher learning to be awarded not one but two international certifications which is the OHSAS 18001: Occupational Health and Safety Management Certification and ISO 14001: Environmental Management System. Recently, BERJAYA UC was awarded the ISO9001:2015 for the delivery of teaching and learning services.


BERJAYA UC has established strong strategic collaborations with established institutions of higher learning in the ASEAN region, Asia, Europe, the Americas who are forerunners in the hospitality, culinary arts, tourism, retail and event management arenas.

Amongst our hosts of strategic partnerships, one that stands out is BERJAYA UC’s invitation and selection to be the 17th and only Malaysian-based member of the Institut Paul Bocuse Worldwide Alliance, joining 16 other world-class culinary and hospitality institutions across the globe. Undoubtedly, it is an honour for BERJAYA UC to be included in this Alliance and this allows us to provide global exposure and networking opportunities for our students that no other institution can at this point in Malaysia.
